Do I need to have any experience with firearms to begin?

Firearms experience isn’t required for you to get started. If you are new to firearms, we'll start with the basic fundamentals that are critical to handling a firearm safely and effectively.

Do I need to have my own firearm?

You can bring your own firearm or you can use one of my pistols for free. Rifle rental is $20. Please check with me for loaner guns for classes. Depending on class size, loaner guns might not be available.

Do you sell or provide ammunition?

Regretfully, I am not licensed to sell or provide ammunition. Please be sure to begin searching for the required ammunition well before our appointment. The ammunition shortage has made finding some types of ammo similar to finding toilet paper when the pandemic first hit.

Can I train with a friend or family member?

Absolutely! All of the courses can be done with a friend or family member. The Firearm Saftey course can be done in person or virtually.

What is dry fire?

Dry fire is weapon manipulations done without the use of live ammunition. During dry fire you can practice your grip, sight alignment, sight picture, trigger prep, trigger press, trigger reset, target transitions, shooting while moving, drawing from a holster, realoads, malfunction clearing and much more! Dry fire is where you should be working on new skills. The gun range is where you test your ability to perform those new skills.

What is your cancelation/refund policy?

Cancellation Policy: All sales are final. All courses/appointments must be canceled 24 hours before the scheduled start time. Courses/appointments can be rescheduled once. Reschedules must be made within 30 days of the original appointment date. If you are unable to make a course/appointment, please let me know as soon as possible and we can reschedule or move your registration to another course date. It is the Instructor's decision whether or not to cancel a course/appointment because of inclement weather. If a course/appointment needs to be canceled due to inclement weather, the Instructor will schedule another date for completion. These cases do not count as your opportunity to reschedule. If you are unable to make a class/appointment, you can also transfer the class/appointment to a friend or family member provided they have the background needed for the course/appointment. For out-of-state courses/appointments, the class minimum needs to be satisfied. If the minimum isn’t satisfied, the Instructor may cancel the course/appointment. If it is canceled, students will receive a full refund. To reschedule a class/appointment, please email irunandguntraining@gmail.com.
